Isabelle de Borchgrave’s art is much more accessible than many of her contemporaries. Though most famously known for her elaborate paper sculptures that have been exhibited worldwide, the works reproduced for her collection with Soicher Marin differ greatly, in that, they originate from her personal travel journals. Originally intended as personal mementos of her travels around the world, the sketches from within her journals capture the serenity of a Nile river cruise, the chaotic and colorful exuberance of a Moroccan street market, and among others, the timeless allure of the French Riviera.
