Richard Mishaan for Soicher Marin

Born in Colombia, Richard Mishaan began his career by apprenticing in the offices of Philip Johnson after receiving a BA from New York University and attending Columbia University School of Architecture.

As an interior designer Richard Mishaan believes that all good furniture and art can be combined successfully regardless of style, period, or price. Mishaan skillfully bring together furnishings from a myriad of periods: Italian Neo-Classic, Seventeenth-Century French, African Tribal, Art Deco, and Biedermeier. Contemporary fusion styles has become his signature.

The Mishaan touch, stylistically, is expansive one, which is not surprising — he himself is an expansive person. His combined knowledge of fashion, architecture, and interior design, plus his cultural roots, gives him a deep understanding of luxury and quality.
